My life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age. This experience, though challenging, ignited within me a fierce passion for advocacy. Navigating the complexities of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship as a young person revealed gaps in support and understanding, and I knew I had to do something.
This early diagnosis became the catalyst for a trajectory dedicated to amplifying the voices of those affected by breast cancer. As an advocate, I’ve had the honor of sharing my expertise and lived experience across numerous organizations and platforms. I’ve strived to bring a unique perspective, shaped by my personal journey, to discussions around patient care, research, and community support.
Currently, I serve as The Give Back Grant Program Manager with The Keep A Breast Foundation, a role that allows me to directly facilitate impactful change within the breast cancer community. I am also deeply involved as a Tigerlily Angel with The Tigerlily Foundation, providing support and guidance to other young women facing breast cancer. My commitment extends to fostering inclusivity and equity as a member of the DEI board with The Breasties, a vibrant community connecting individuals affected by breast and other gynecological cancers. Furthermore, I am a RISE advocate with the Young Survival Coalition, working to ensure that young survivors have the resources and support they need to thrive.
At its core, my work, my writing, and my engagement are all driven by a profound belief in the power of advocacy. It is the thread that weaves through every aspect of my life, a constant reminder that by sharing our stories, lending our voices, and working together, we can create a more supportive and understanding world for everyone impacted by breast cancer
